How to Remove and Install Colorado Car Stereo

1.1) From hand hold on arm rest, remove screw.
2.1) Remove second screw.
3.1) Pry back edge of control panel from arm rest releasing clips. All clips release with pry pressure.
4.1) Pry front edge of control panel from arm rest releasing clips.
5.1) Lift control panel from arm rest.

6.1) Squeeze trigger on connector into connector to release lock.

Note - Passenger's door will have less connectors on control panel.

7.1) Remove connector.
8.1) Turn control panel over for access to remaining connector triggers.
9.1) Squeeze trigger on connector into connector to release lock.
10.1) Remove connector.
11.1) Squeeze trigger on connector into connector to release lock.
12.1) Remove connector.
13.1) Remove control panel and set to side.
14.1) Remove screw from door open handle cavity.
15.1) Pry door handle trim ring from door releasing clips.
16.1) Remove trim ring over door open handle.
17.1) Remove trim ring and set to side.
18.1) Pry top edge of panel at top front of door panel releasing clip.
19.1) Grasp top edge of panel and pull up to release from behind door panel.
20.1) Small panel has a tongue at the bottom that fits a slot on the door behind the edge of the door panel. Remove panel and set to side.
21.1) Pry front bottom edge of door panel from door releasing clips.
22.1) Pry up along front edge of door panel releasing clips.
23.1) Pry along bottom edge of door panel releasing clips.
24.1) Pry bottom back edge of door panel from door releasing clips.
25.1) Pry up along back edge of door panel releasing clips.
26.1) Pull bottom edge of door panel away from door to verify all clips have been released.
27.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam.
28.1) Lift front edge of door panel up out of window jam.
29.1) Pull top edge of door panel back for access to back of panel.
30.1) Locate wire harness and connector from tweeter on door panel to door.
31.1) Squeeze trigger on connector into connector to release lock.
32.1) Remove connector.
32.2) Remove door panel and set to side.
33.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips. Also, check top front of door panel for clip from small panel removal.
34.1) Pry clip from door.
35.1) Place clip into slot on door panel ready of reinstallation.
36.1) Remove screw at top of speaker.
37.1) Pull top of speaker away from door.

38.1) Lift bottom of speaker up to release tabs from door and remove.

39.1) Squeeze trigger on connector to release lock and disconnect.

Chevrolet Colorado Speaker Removal and Installation Chevrolet Colorado How to Remove Rear Door Speaker and Replacement
1.1) From hand hold on arm rest, remove screw.
2.1) Remove second screw.
3.1) Pry back edge of control panel from arm rest releasing clips. All clips release with pry pressure.
4.1) Pry front edge of control panel from arm rest releasing clips.
5.1) Lift control panel from arm rest.
6.1) Squeeze trigger on connector into connector to release lock.
7.1) Remove connector.
8.1) Remove control panel and set to side.
9.1) Remove screw from door open handle cavity.
10.1) Pry door handle trim ring from door releasing clips.
11.1) Remove trim ring over door open handle.
12.1) Remove trim ring and set to side.
13.1) Pry front bottom edge of door panel from door releasing clips.
14.1) Pry up along front edge of door panel releasing clips.
15.1) Pry along bottom edge of door panel releasing clips.
16.1) Pry bottom back edge of door panel from door releasing clips.
17.1) Pry up along back edge of door panel releasing clips.
18.1) Pull bottom edge of door panel away from door to verify all clips have been released.
19.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam.
20.1) Lift front edge of door panel up out of window jam.
21.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips.
22.1) Pry clip from door.
23.1) Place clip into slot on door panel ready of reinstallation.
24.1) Remove screws securing speaker to trim panel.
25.1) Or, locate X in plastic right side of speaker.
26.1) Remove screw through opening in plastic.
27.1) Pull edge of speaker from door.
28.1) Push plastic back to allow edge of speaker to pass.
29.1) Pull speaker toward front of door releasing securing tabs.
30.1) Squeeze trigger on connector to release lock and disconnect.
