Ford Mustang Front Speaker Removal and Replacement

How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 1.1) Gently pry trim ring from subwoofer speaker releasing clips. All clips release with pry pressure.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 2.1) Remove trim ring from subwoofer speaker and set to side.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 3.1) Remove front screws securing subwoofer speaker to door panel.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 4.1) Along front top edge of door panel, remove one screw.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 5.1) Along front bottom edge of door panel, remove one screw.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 6.1) Along back edge of door panel, remove two screws.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 7.1) Along back bottom edge of door panel, remove one screw.

Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 12.1) Gently pry top edge of small triangular trim panel from door releasing clips, remove panel and set to side.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 13.1) On arm rest, at hand hold, gently pry small insert panel from door releasing clips. 13.2) Remove small insert panel and set to side.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 14.1) Locate exposed screw.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 15.1) Remove T30 Torx screw.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 16.1) Gently pry leading edge of arm rest control panel from door releasing clips.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 17.1) Remove control panel from door panel.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 18.1) At back of control panel, release trigger on window switch connector to disconnect and remove. Set control panel to side.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 19.1) Remove exposed screw from control panel removal.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 20.1) Lift entire door panel up out of window jam to remove from door.
20.2) Release trigger on door lock connector to disconnect and remove.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 21.1) At door speaker, release trigger on connector to disconnect and remove.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 22.1) Locate door open handle cable linkage.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 23.1) End of cable insulation locks into door panel, pull from lock to release cable.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 24.1) Pull end of cable around to opening at side of door handle to release end of cable from door panel.
24.2) Remove door panel and set to side.

Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 26.1) Pull speaker from door panel.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 27.1) At speaker, release trigger on connector to disconnect and remove. Remove speaker.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 28.1) Subwoofer enclosure and speaker are part of door panel.
How to Remove Speakers, Replace and Install 29.1) Locate screw at back of subwoofer speaker enclosure on back of door panel.
Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 30.1) Remove 10 mm bolt at back of subwoofer enclosure to release subwoofer speaker from door panel.

Replacing Speakers, Remove and Install 32.1) Subwoofer wire harness feeds through rubber grommet.
32.2) Gently pry rubber grommet from subwoofer enclosure to release.

33.1) Feed subwoofer speaker wires through opening and remove subwoofer.

How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement

Ford Mustang Rear Deck Speaker Removal Instructions

1.1) At leading edge of rear seat cushion locate release.

Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 2.1) Push release tab in and pull rear seat up at the same time release one side or rear seat cushion.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 3.1) Release driver's side of rear set at release tab.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 4.1) Remove rear bottom seat cushion and set to side.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 5.1) Pull rear seat release loop and pull both rear seat backs down.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 6.1) Locate lower panel clip exposed with rear seat release.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 7.1) Pry clip from panel and remove.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 8.1) Locate upper panel clip exposed with rear seat release.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 9.1) Pry clip from panel and remove.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 10.1) At seat belt restraint, gently pry cover to remove.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 11.1) Remove exposed screw on seat belt restraint.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 12.1) At clothes hanger hook, gently pry small cover from hook.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 13.1) Remove exposed Torx screw.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 14.1) At side door, gently pry door jam panel up releasing clips. All clips release with pressure.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 15.1) Push panel to side to unlock from lower back panel in door jam.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 16.1) Pry side back panel from car releasing clips at door jam.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 17.1) Work across top of side panel releasing all clips.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 18.1) Pull entire panel back from side of car releasing all clips. Remove panel and set to side.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 19.1) Along ceiling in door jam, pry forward panel releasing clips and move to side to unlock lower panel.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 20.1) Pry upper side panel from side of car releasing clips.
How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 21.1) Work along edge of upper panel releasing all clips to back window.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 22.1) Remove upper side panel and set to side.

Note -  Repeat steps for opposite side of car.

How to Install Speakers, Removal and Replacement 23.1) Along back deck panel, move seat belt restraint to side of access to clip.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 24.1) Remove all clips on front edge of rear deck panel.

Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 26.1) Pull rear deck panel from rear deck and set to side.
Replacing Speakers, Removal and Install 27.1) From trunk side of speaker, release trigger on connector to disconnect and remove.
