Hyundai Sonata Removing and Replacing Front Speaker
Kia Sonata How to Remove Front Door Speaker and  Installation Hyundai Sonata Front Door Panel and Speaker Removal
1.1) Top back of door panel, locate center tab on clip.
2.1) Pry center cover from clip to remove and set to side.
3.1) Remove exposed screw.
4.1) Set screw and plastic clip to side.
5.1) Bottom back of door panel remove one screw.
6.1) Bottom center of door panel remove one screw.
7.1) Front center of door panel locate center tab on clip.
8.1) Pry center cover from clip to remove and set to side.
9.1) Remove exposed screw.
10.1) Front top of door panel locate center tab on clip
11.1) Pry center cover from clip to remove and set to side.
12.1) Remove exposed screw.
13.1) Pry edge of small cover in door handle cavity.
14.1) Swing small panel out for access.
15.1) Remove exposed screw.
16.1) Pry front edge of door handle trim panel.
17.1) Release clips with pry pressure along front edge of door handle trim panel.
18.1) Pull door handle to open position to allow room for back edge of trim panel to release.
19.1) Remove trim panel and set to side.
20.1) At hand hold in arm rest, pry edge of small cover.
21.1) Remove cover and set to side.
22.1) Remove exposed screw.
23.1) Pry top edge of small panel at front of door panel releasing clips, all clips release with pry pressure.
24.1) Pry along edge of panel releasing all clips.
25.1) Pull panel slightly from door panel.
26.1) Locate connector for tweeter assembly. This connector may be tucked in along the edge of the lower door panel.
27.1) With small tool, located trigger on connector.
28.1) Push trigger down into connector to release and remove.
29.1) Tweeter assembly.
30.1) Pull back foam covering for access, remove two screws securing tweeter to panel and remove tweeter.
31.1) Pry back bottom edge of door panel from door releasing clips.
32.1) Pry along bottom edge of door panel releasing clips.
33.1) Pry up along front and back edges of door panel releasing clips.
34.1) Pull bottom edge of door panel away from door to verify all clips have been released.
35.1) With bottom edge of door panel pulled away from door, check edge of door handle opening. Door panel will lift up to clear.
36.1) Lift top back edge of door panel up out of window jam.
37.1) Lift top front edge of door panel up out of window jam.
38.1) Pull top edge of door panel back for access to all connectors.
39.1) Locate connector for door panel courtesy light.
40.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release and remove.
41.1) Locate connector near speaker grill on door panel.
42.1) Entire connector will release from door panel for better access.
43.1) Squeeze trigger on connector into connector.
44.1) Release and remove connector.
45.1) Locate connector at control panel on door panel.
46.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release and remove.
47.1) Locate second connector at front of control panel.
48.1) Squeeze trigger on connector into connector.

49.1) Release and remove connector.

NOTE - Passenger door panel may not have all these connectors.

50.1) Check door for remaining door panel clips. (Yellow)
51.1) Pry clips from door to remove.
52.1) Check door for remaining door panel clips. (Gray)
53.1) Place door panel clips into corresponding slots on door panel.
54.1) Place door panel clips into corresponding slots on door panel.
55.1) Release trigger on connector at speaker to disconnect and remove.
56.1) Speaker is riveted to door panel, drill rivets to remove speaker.
57.1) During reinstallation, place door handle trim panel into place and push front of panel in to lock.

Hyundai Sonata Rear Door Speaker Removal

1.1) Top back of door panel, locate center tab on clip.
2.1) Pry center cover from clip to remove and set to side.
3.1) Remove exposed screw.
4.1) Bottom front corner of door panel, remove one screw.
5.1) Front top of door panel locate center tab on clip
6.1) Pry center cover from clip to remove and set to side.
7.1) Remove exposed screw.
8.1) Pry edge of small cover in door handle cavity.
9.1) Swing small panel out for access.
10.1) Remove exposed screw.
11.1) Pry front edge of door handle trim panel.
12.1) Release clips with pry pressure along front edge of door handle trim panel.
13.1) Pull door handle to open position to allow room for back edge of trim panel to release.
14.1) Remove trim panel and set to side.
15.1) At hand hold in arm rest, pry edge of small cover.
16.1) Remove cover and set to side.
17.1) Remove exposed screw.
18.1) Pry back bottom edge of door panel from door releasing clips. All clips release with pry pressure.
19.1) Pry along bottom edge of door panel releasing clips.
20.1) Pry up along front and back edges of door panel releasing clips.
21.1) Pull bottom edge of door panel away from door to verify all clips have been released.

23.1) Lift top back edge of door panel up out of window jam.
24.1) Lift top front edge of door panel up out of window jam.
25.1) Pull top edge of door panel back for access to all connectors.
26.1) Locate connector for door panel control panel.
27.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release and remove.
28.1) Check door for remaining door panel clips.
29.1) Pry clips from door to remove.
30.1) Place door panel clips into corresponding slots on door panel.
31.1) Release trigger on connector at speaker to disconnect and remove.
32.1) Speaker is riveted to door panel, drill rivets to remove speaker.
33.1) During reinstallation, place door handle trim panel into place and push front of panel in to lock.
