Front Speaker Removal and Replacement
Mazda Speaker Removal, Replacement and Installation 1.1) Back edge of door panel, center of edge, remove plastic screw.
Removing Speakers, Install and Replce 2.1) Any forward pushing pressure on screw may not remove screw. Pull out on edge of screw while removing will help.

Removing Speakers, Install and Replce 4.1) Remove lower screw on back edge of door panel.
Mazda Speaker Removal, Replacement and Installation 5.1) Along bottom edge of door panel, gently pry cover from door panel.

38.2) Remove door panel and set to side.

Removing and Replacing Rear Speaker
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 1.1) For better access to back seat, move front seats and backs forward.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 2.1) Release center seat belt in back seat if attached.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 3.1) Along front edge of passenger's side rear seat bottom, locate latch.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 4.1) Push latch toward driver's side of car to release.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 5.1) Lift rear seat bottom up to release edge of seat.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 6.1) Along front edge of driver's side rear seat bottom, locate latch.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 7.1) Push latch and lift front edge of seat bottom up to release.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 8.1) Lift front edge of rear seat bottom up, verifying seat bottom is released.

28.2) Repeat clip removal for remaining clips along edge of panel.

Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 35.1) Push clip toward passenger's side of car and up to release center brake light from rear deck.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 36.1) At rear deck, lift front edge of center brake light up. Center brake light assembly will come up but may not release.

In position shown, bolt is in lock down position to secure front edge of center brake light assembly.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 38.1) Top of "t" part of bolt hinges.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 39.1) Bolt becomes a single shaft to remove. After screw has been loosened, reach into opening to place bolt into correct position for removal.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 40.1) Lift front of center brake light assembly up, locate bulb base and wire harness.

Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 42.1) Twist to release base from center brake light assembly.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 43.1) Center brake light assembly is keyed, align base when reinstalling.

Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 45.1) To replace center brake light bulb, grasp base.

Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 50.1) Pull rear deck panel down into rear seat for access to rear deck and speakers.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 51.1) From trunk side, locate connector on speaker.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 52.1) Squeeze trigger on connector into connector to release.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 53.1) Remove connector.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 54.1) Remove screws securing speaker to rear deck.

Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 56.1) Replace 6 x 9 speakers. Bolt patterns on most speaker mate to original pattern.
56.2) Cut connector from wire harness and spice wires to connect speaker.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 57.1) To install plastic clips along front edge of rear deck panel, align deck hole with opening.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 58.1) Push base of clip into place.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 59.1) Push center tab in to lock clip into place.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 60.1) Reinstalling side panel, be sure seat belt is not pinched behind panel.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 61.1) Back of side panels have a tab.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 62.1) Tab mates to opening in metal bracket.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 63.1) Place panel above original position.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 64.1) Push panel down, tab should mate with opening in metal bracket. Pull top of panel toward front of car to check for tab mating with opening.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal 65.1) Place rear seat bottom into place, feed seat belt holder through seat.
Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 66.1) Push rear seat bottom toward back of car to secure under rear seat back.
