Pontiac Grand Am How to Remove and Install Car Radio 1.1) Remove two screws at back of pocket cavity.
Pontiac Grand Am Removing and Installing Car Radios 2.1) Remove two screws above instrument cluster.
Pontiac Grand Am Car Stereo Removal and Installation 3.1) Pull dash panel from dash releasing clips, be careful of Emergency Flasher Switch.
3.2) Lift right side up panel up over car stereo for access.
3.3) Remove three screws securing car stereo to dash.
3.4) Pull car stereo forward, disconnect antenna and connectors.

How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install

Pontiac Grand Am How to Remove and Replace Speakers

How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install 1.1) Remove two screws from door hand hole cavity.
How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install 2.1) Release top triangular panel by releasing clips.
How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install 3.1) Gently pry and lift control panel from door panel, release connector.
How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install 4.1) Slightly release insert.
4.2) Gently pry door lock slide from mechanism and feed through panel.
4.3) Remove insert over door open handle.
How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install 5.1) Release window crank clip between crank and door panel.
5.2) Remove crank and immediately place clip back onto crank. (It will snap back on during reinstallation and you will not loose the clip.)
How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install 6.1) Remove reflector from back of panel and remove hidden screw.
How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install 7.1) Release clips by starting at bottom of door panel.
7.2) Lift door panel up out of window jam.

*NOTE - be careful of tension applied to manual side mirror adjustment cables, you can break the plastic mount, I don't remember how much it cost.

How to Replace Speakers, Remove and Install 8.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door.

GM Wire Harness Diagram, Wire Color Codes and Pin Configuration Wire color codes and wire diagrams
IMPORTANT - There are two (2) yellow*, two (2) gray and two (2) brown wires in this harness. Locate the +12 volt constant wire first. Label it or splice to constant wire on aftermarket stereo first. Swapping yellow wires will cause damage to any aftermarket stereo. Check fuses if your unable to find +12 volts.
