1.2) Pull car stereo trim panel with vents from dash, releasing eight clips.
1.3) Disconnect emergency flasher, clock and lighter associated connectors.

Toyota Solara Front Speaker Removal Instructions

Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 1.1) Remove two screws along bottom edge of door panel.
Solara Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 2.1) Gently pry cover from door open handle cavity.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 3.1) Remove cover.
Solara Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 4.1) Remove exposed screw.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 5.1) Gently pry up on trim ring from door lock lever releasing top of trim ring.
Solara Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 6.1) Gently pry down on trim ring from door open lever releasing bottom of trim ring.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 7.1) Pull trim ring toward back of door panel releasing front clip on trim ring.

Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 23.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam.
Solara Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 24.1) Reach behind door panel and release trigger on connector at tweeter to disconnect.
24.2) Remove door panel.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 25.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips, gently pry clips from door.

Solora Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 1.1) Lower rear seat backs to down position.
1.2) Gently pry cover from clothing hook.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 2.1) Remove exposed screw and clothing hook.
Solora Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 3.1) Gently pry cover on seat belt mount.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 4.1) Lift cover up.
Solora Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 5.1) Remove exposed bolt.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 6.1) Allow seat belt mount to hang toward floor.

Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 16.1) Gently pry top edge of upper side panel from side of car.
Solora Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 17.1) Pull upper side panel from car releasing all clips.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 18.1) Pull side panel toward front of car releasing hook into rear deck panel.
Solora Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 19.1) Check side of car for any remaining clips. Gently pry clips from side of car.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 20.1) Install clips back to original position on lower side panel.
Solora Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 21.1) Install clips back to original position on upper side panel.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 22.1) Release pin on driver side of rear deck panel.
22.2) Push center tab in.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 23.1) Pry entire clip from panel to remove.
Solora Speaker Replacement, Removal and Install 24.1) When reinstalling this clip, push center pin back through clip approximately 1/4 inch, place back into opening and push center tab flush to lock in place.

Removing, Replacing and Installing Speakers 1.1) Begin by lifting back of panel from door jam up releasing clips.
JBL Amplifier Removal, Replacement and Install 2.1) With clips released, pull door jam panel back away from front of car releasing front hooks. Set panel to side.
Removing, Replacing and Installing Speakers 3.1) Remove one exposed 10 mm bolt from door jam panel removal.
JBL Amplifier Removal, Replacement and Install 4.1) At bottom left of glove box, remove one screw.
Removing, Replacing and Installing Speakers 5.1) Below glove box, along passenger side of car, remove one screw from lower side panel.
JBL Amplifier Removal, Replacement and Install 6.1) Remove side panel releasing clips. Set panel to side.
Removing, Replacing and Installing Speakers 7.1) Open glove box, remove three exposed screws along top edge of frame.
JBL Amplifier Removal, Replacement and Install 8.1) Pull upper edge of glove box assembly from car releasing clips.
Removing, Replacing and Installing Speakers 9.1) Remove entire glove box assembly from car and set to side.
JBL Amplifier Removal, Replacement and Install 10.1) From glove box cavity, release triggers on connectors at JBL amplifier to disconnect.
Removing, Replacing and Installing Speakers 11.1) Remove on 10 mm nut from upper mount on JBL amplifier.
JBL Amplifier Removal, Replacement and Install 12.1) Remove on 10 mm nut from lower mount on JBL amplifier.
